A Message To My Twenty-Year-Old Self
No one else completes you. You are already whole and complete.
You can never find safety in another person. Find security in yourself.
Relax and laugh more. Everything will be okay.
Get super comfortable in your own skin. You’ll be in it for a long time.
Go easy on yourself. You’re going to make mistakes along the way.
Worry less about finding a husband, and focus more on finding yourself.
Appreciate your smooth skin, natural curls, and the body God gave you.
Remember that you always have choices.
Never make anyone else responsible for how you feel. That’s in your control.
Be proud of your quirks! You are beautiful and unique.
Gossip is a waste of time and energy.
The guy who broke your 16-year-old heart won’t be a blip on your radar in ten years.
It’s okay to walk away from unhealthy friendships.
Treasure your body and be selective with whom you share it.
The neglect you felt as a child had nothing to do with how lovable you are.
You are precious, valuable, and unbelievably worthy of all your dreams.
Be brave. Take chances. Go for those dreams. You only have one life.
